Many infants, toddlers, and their families, do not receive needed care and support despite their possible eligibility for Early Childhood Intervention (ECI). This training presented by Erron Huey, PhD, with Early Childhood Intervention (ECI) discusses why early intervention services are important and explores strategies to address this problem that include: understanding child eligibility requirements; ECI processes for referrals, assessments, and service delivery; as well as possible points for professionals to collaborate with local ECI programs. Applied examples will be used throughout the presentation. Additional resources that professionals can use and provide to caregivers are integrated into the presentation and will be available for participants.
This training is open to all WIC staff.
This training will be recorded and on the WIC Internal LMS system.
*Participants who attend the full 1.0 hour training and complete the RD evaluation will receive CPE credits.
